Knives At Noon

Last December in Dunedin I caught with Oli Wilson of Knives at Noon.  I got to talk to him about the band's history and their experience collaborating over a distance.  We talked about their musical influences, and i played a few of their songs which you can download from here:

Oli shares a lot of insights about licensing music and both the pro's and cons of using creative commons licenses for new bands.  He shares real experience licensing work, and how you can use the creative commons and still commercialy market you work.  Most of all I was happy to play some loud rock music in this episode, I played "Thunderveins" one of their newer songs, and "Daisy Chain" one of their hits from the past year or so, which you can download from the links above.  I mention in the interview how I'm hoping to see a band grow to be successful using the creative commons licenses on their music, and all I can say is I'm already a big fan of this band.
