Village Connections
Last December in Christchurch I interviewed Hazel Ashton, who produces the website:
http://village-connections.com
Hazel is a researcher at the University of Canterbury. I asked about how copyright affects her work, and we talk a bit about her site and it's purpose. The site aims to bridge the theory and practice of sustainable community development. She describes an innovative project, The Silent Connectors, to understand community development needs. She involved approximately 100 participants in the production of a one act play where they could explore issues affecting their community.
I also enjoyed learning about her "ladder and shovel" awards, one of four interrelated blogs she edits.
