Episode 26 Haiti
Just back from LinuxConfAu2010
Where I recorded interviews with all the keynote speakers, Gabriella Coleman, Benjamin Mako Hill, and Glyn Moody. At the start of the week, I also talked w/ Stuart from the NZ Electronic Text Center, and Virgina and Lee from Digital NZ.
None of whom are featured in this episode, because of the one interview I didn't plan on doing w/ Tim McNamara who is involved with the Sahana project and the Haiti relief effort.
I also picked up a sponsor Eric Light, from Gravity Computing Ltd, a local IT consultant, which I'm really excited about. With Eric's help over the next few months I'll be bringing some great interviews with the people mentioned above and others who I've connected with on creativecommons.org.nz.
In this episode I talk with Eric about our experience at LinuxConfAu and also w/ Tim about the Sahana project. Tim mentioned this link where you can help out with important work to help people affected by the Haiti earthquake:

I also learned about this great project, an album of creative commons licensed music organized by the Monome community to raise funds for the Haiti disaster relief:
I played the first two tracks of that sampler in this episode:

Looking forward to bringing you a lot of great inteviews over the next few months, stay tuned.
