New It Make Episode 18
I recorded a conversation with my pals Edison Carter who is one of the organizers of the New Zealand Pirate Party, and Graham Lauder who is the New Zealand marketing contact for Open Office. I intentionally recorded just a natural sort of aimless conversation, although we had two general topics, the Pirate Party of course, and also ACTA. I'm on a mission, an amateur digital ethnographer's mission, to record natural conversations between myself and other people. Of course the conversations will be focused around Free Culture topics, but my aim is to record "conversations" rather than "interviews". I'm not even sure why, I just like listening to them.
I surfed around for some music to play, and I managed to sneak one song in here:
The Bathtub Sophist - Transmission

Apparently the artist is from Hamilton, I'll see I can track him down for an interview.

I'm still looking to focus on Open Education a bit more and also take a good look at Wikipedia, in future episodes.
Here are some links on ACTA:

http://acta.lemming-brothers.com/tiki-index.php?page=Completed+Submission
And here is a link to the Pirate Party:

Here is a link to the Wikipedia article on the Pirate Bay which talks about the autopsy photo torrent controversy:

Other things we talked about off the top of my head:
Graham bringing up the recent plagarism allegations against Witi Ihimaera... Disruptive technologies, the transistor vs. tube radios, telephone vs. the telegraph... and I for one am glad cassette tapes are gone.
